Family Life and Pastoral Care at Christ Church of Atlanta is a broad title with many facets of ministry. The Family Life and Pastoral ministry of the church works in concert with the Children's ministry to work towards “maturity in Christ.” Taking the admonition from the Apostle Paul, our goal is to, “prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up, until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:12-13)

This is best accomplished when the church comes around the parents of children and supports their stewardship responsibility to impress upon their children the commandments of the Lord and thus train them up in the ways of God. We recognize that raising children, pre-teens and teens is a daunting task in this day and age, but at Christ Church we are here to serve you in this great adventure and pursuit.

Family Life also extends beyond parents and children. Our Family Life ministry also provides Pastoral Care to the entire body of Christ. Additionally, our Family Life ministry is equipped to help couples “Preparing for Marriage”; celebrating new birth, preparing for baptism, training towards Confirmation; discovering your Spiritual Gifts and finding a meaningful place of service within the church, community and the world.
