PRAYER REQUESTS

HELEN LOYLESS - Helen had a lumpectomy in December and starts radiation in January. Pray that she experiences fullness of healing in her body, mind and spirit. Pray that her energy level is restored to normal.

BECKY STRICKLAND MAY - A dear friend of several Christ Church of Atlanta members, Becky has been diagnosed with a Stage 4 cancer. Pray that she receives the healing power of Jesus and that she can place her faith in God Almighty.

KEITH MEATHERINGHAM - Keith has been diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer. Pray for the healing power of Jesus to take over every cancerous cell in her body. Pray that Keith will place more faith in God's power and sovereignty and Word than in the circumstances and doctor's predictions.

MAYA PRUZEK (Barbara Nash's niece) - UPDATE -Maya is 8 years old, has kidney disease, is on dialysis. Because of heart damage, she has been removed from the kidney transplant list. The facts are that Maya has been given a terminal diagnosis. The TRUTH is that "by His stripes, we were healed." Pray that Maya would receive the healing that Jesus paid for with His blood. Pray, too, for her parents' salvation.

MIRIAM JACKSON (Harriet Gallion's sister) - UPDATE - Our prayers are impacting the battle. There has not been any growth in any cancer cells for 8 months. Miriam's doctor is pleased! Continue to pray for Jesus' healing power and that Miriam will be healed completely. Pray, too, for the healing of her loving husband of more than 50 years who is also battling cancer.

BOB MANSFIELD - Bob is an author of fiction and non-fiction books (www.mansfieldbooks.com) and desires that his works be picked up by a major publisher. Pray that God's will be upon Bob and that He will open publishing doors for Bob's books.

NEW VESTRY MEMBERS: At the Annual General Meeting of Christ Church of Atlanta, Inc., on January 27, John Weaver, Tommy Tillman and Sonny Schoen were elected to the Vestry for the term ending 2011. John Weaver was appointed Senior Warden and TommyTillman was elected Junior Warden. Our appreciation to Tom Davis, Skip Saunders and Chrissie Wayt who completed their three-year term on the Vestry and rotated off at the General Meeting.

MISCELLANEOUS

LADIES' "FIRST WEDNESDAY" FELLOWSHIP: The Women's First Wednesday Fellowship meets from 11 am to 12 noon, at the Adams Room of Northwest Presbyterian Church located at 4300 Northside Drive, near the intersection of Northside Drive and East Conway, south of Mt. Paran Rd. Parking is UNLIMITED and we have plenty of room to grow! Invite a neighbor or co-worker and join us for a lively hour of Bible-based conversation. CHILDCARE INFORMATION: During the service of Holy Communion, childcare is provided in the Preschool classroom for children not attending the service. Parents may come get their children for communion, if they desire. (Children must be supervised at all times.) Nursery is available for infants, toddlers and two-year olds during the entire morning beginning at 9:15 am.

THE LORD'S TABLE: We welcome to the Lord's Table all those who know and love the Lord Jesus and who have been baptized in His Name. Please join us for Holy Communion as we remember what Jesus has done for us on the Cross, as we celebrate His resurrection from the dead, and as we look forward to His coming again in glory.

RESOURCES: Tapes are available for Sunday School and sermons and can be picked up after the service, for a cost of $2.00 per tape.
